why pendel exists

Born & raised inside supply chain

Growing up in Panama City, Panama with a father who works on the Panama Canal, witnessing global trade happen everyday. Shaped a deep fascination and respect for efficient systems, foritified  by specialized maritime, logistics, supply chain business education at a Maritime Academy.

Pendel & Brathwaite exists to make systems visible, quantify it, and correct it at the structural level not just around the edges.

I've spent my career inside or alongside businesses that looked fine on paper but have a plethora of issues underneath and a widening gap between perception and reality.

Most execution problems aren’t execution problems at all. They’re the result of how decisions move, how incentives are structured, and how outdated assumptions get carried into daily operations.

That’s where margin starts to leak. That’s where friction becomes normal.

Looking forward to working togather,

We don't believe in traditional consulting

Most businesses don’t actually have execution problems, even though that’s how it shows up on the surface. What they have are systems that are producing exactly the outcomes they’re getting, whether anyone realizes it or not.

Pendel was built in direct opposition to the kind of consulting that explains problems without ever really changing them. The kind that produces clean frameworks, sharper language, better dashboards, and a sense of progress, while the underlying issues stay exactly where they are.

In most organizations, nothing is obviously broken. Revenue is there. Product is moving. Teams are busy. But underneath that, things start to feel off. Decisions take longer than they should. Costs creep up without a clear explanation. More effort is required just to maintain the same results. Over time, those small distortions compound into something structural.

What looks like an execution issue is usually something deeper. Decisions are being shaped by misaligned incentives, incomplete information, or systems that no longer reflect how the business actually operates. The organization adapts around those constraints, and eventually the constraints become invisible.

That’s where margin starts to leak. That’s where friction becomes normal. And that’s where most companies get stuck, not because they lack intelligence or effort, but because they’re not seeing the system clearly.

Our work is about making that visible.

We’re not interested in optimizing around those conditions or making them slightly more efficient. We’re interested in exposing how the system actually behaves, correcting what’s driving the outcomes, and creating a structure where better performance isn’t something you have to chase, it’s something the system naturally produces.

how we work

Withou recommendations, or a pitch

We start by understanding how the business actually behaves. Not how it’s supposed to work, and not how it’s reported, but how decisions get made under pressure, how information moves, and where things start to break down.

That usually means slowing the conversation down enough for leaders to think clearly about what’s happening inside their own operation without needing to perform or have the answers ready. Most people already feel where something is off. They just haven’t had the space to articulate it or connect it back to the system.

If there’s something real to act on, we work together to isolate where decisions, systems, and incentives are misaligned, and we quantify what that’s actually costing the business. From there, the focus is on correcting the structure that’s driving the issue, not just improving the visible symptoms.

If there isn’t a fit, we say so directly.

We’re not here to force engagements or create momentum where it doesn’t belong. We’re here to create clarity, and when it makes sense, to turn that clarity into real, measurable improvement.
